We are looking for a Warehouse Operator/Forklift Driver to join one Paragon’s manufacturing sites based in Wymondham, Norfolk.
The site specialises in production of outbound and inbound document services and contains printing, mailing and warehousing capability for the purposes of outbound mail and postal receipt, scanning and document storage for the purposes of inbound mail.
As the Warehouse Operator, you will be supporting the operations in outbound mail, postal receipt, and stock management.
Shift Pattern:
Nights: 4 days on, 4 days off, 6pm – 6am (12-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload goods from vehicles, moving items around the storage facility.
- Stack goods in the correct storage bays and ensure stock is managed efficiently.
- Follow stock control instructions, ensuring loads are secure and empty pallets are stacked.
- Perform daily equipment checks and assist with other warehouse tasks like stock picking, dealing with stock returns, and managing waste disposal (including shredded paper and compacting).
- Handle full bins (up to 660L) and transport them to the disposal area.
- Maintain accurate records and escalate issues promptly to the Line Manager.
- Adhere to health & safety standards and ensure the team is following procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Forklift licence required.
- Self-motivated, organised, and customer-focused.
- Effective communicator with strong delegation skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working to tight deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Excel and basic PC skills.
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre items up to 22kg.
This is a permanent role working on the Night shift (Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off, 6pm – 6am (12-hour shifts). 70% of the shift involves lifting and manual tasks and 30% involves PC work.
