Warehouse Manager

We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our client site in Sunderland.

As the Warehouse Manager, you will manage and control the day-to-day warehouse functions and have direct management responsibility for the Warehouse team and activities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for site warehousing functions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Management of all daily activities
  • Understand and liaise with internal and external customers, satisfying all delivery requirements. Utilisation of problem-solving methodologies to ensure process are built that are clear, concise and robust.
  • To lead and develop the team. Ensure all processes are understood and adequate cover available.
  • Effective utilisation of Optimus Dash.
  • Produce reports showing KPI performance, report and cascade through SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People).
  • Manage stock control activities.
  • Manage capacity planning.
  • Management of all plant, equipment and tools.
  • Training, ensuring compliance with HSE and internal standards.
  • Manage 5S and CI activities within the department.
  • Creation and upkeep of SOPs, skills matrix, RA/SSOW, etc.
  • Flexibility to support other departments as required.

Required experience:

  • Demonstrable managements skills, in particular, knowledge of WMS and warehouse practices.
  • Good communication, written skills, and attention to detail with a service-focused attitude.
  • Methodical and logical approach to projects and tasks, creating clear documentation and requirements.
  • Competent in Microsoft Applications.
  • Line Management experience.
