Technical Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join Paragon’s growing technology-led team.

As the Technical Project Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end delivery across a range of infrastructure and application projects. You’ll be responsible for the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery is controlled, well-governed, and aligned to agreed scope, budget, and timelines.

This is a remote-based role, with occasional travel to Paragon sites for meetings, workshops, and governance sessions as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition, governance, and delivery of technology projects using a structured project management methodology
  • Create and maintain key project documentation including PID, project plans, RAID logs, budgets, and change trackers
  • Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, and delivery timelines
  • Track and report on budgets, forecasts, and benefits realisation
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues, ensuring appropriate mitigation plans are in place
  • Manage change control processes and ensure appropriate approvals are followed
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and resource plans (e.g. Microsoft Project)
  • Produce clear and accurate project status reports for stakeholders and governance forums
  • Chair steering groups and lead stakeholder communications where required
  • Ensure service readiness and successful go-live planning and execution
  • Provide leadership to project teams, supporting delivery and resolving issues as they arise

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a technical project management role
  • Strong background delivering technology infrastructure and/or application projects
  • Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS or OCI)
  • Understanding of on-premise infrastructure (networks, servers, upgrades, migrations)
  • Experience managing OS upgrades and infrastructure refresh programmes
  • Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g. PCI / CDE) desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical detail into clear, business-friendly updates
  • Confident managing budgets, timelines, risks, and delivery outcomes
  • Strong organisational and planning capability
  • Qualifications: PRINCE2 Practitioner and/or APM Practitioner (or equivalent experience)

You will be a proactive and organised delivery professional who can bring structure to complex technical projects. You’re confident working with both technical teams and senior stakeholders, and you know how to keep delivery on track while maintaining strong communication throughout. You take ownership, communicate clearly, and are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Contract: Permanent

Location: Remote (UK based as occasional onsite visits required)
