Scanning Operator

We are looking for a Scanning Operator to join one of Paragon's client partners, based in Liverpool.

As the Sanning Operator, you will generate high-quality digital material as requested on time, working with and reporting to the Team Leader to ensure quality standards are adhered to and deadlines are delivered.

This is a full-time site-based role working 37.5 hours with core working hours of 08:00-18:00 Monday – Friday as required.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work is QA’d by another member of the team.
  • Assist with training to WL staff and client staff on machinery and procedures.
  • Comply with department procedures, including email procedures and mandatory training
  • Highlight any issues or improvements to the Team Leader.
  • Ensure the environment is kept clean and tidy.
  • Comply with health and safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ensure the highest level of service is delivered, and all deadlines are achieved.
  • Undertake any ad hoc duties as requested by line management.
  • Advise clients on cost-effective production methods
  • Assistance with Mailroom tasks as required daily by the Team Leader

Required skills and experience

  • A good understanding of general scanning documentation and the capabilities within scanning operations, including:
    • Scanning in colour & BW
    • Quality settings, lightness/darkness & resolution
    • Reduce file sizes
  • A good understanding of file size limitations & quality issues with resolutions
  • A good understanding of all departmental procedures and SLA’s
  • Basic understanding of internal charging structure.
  • Knowledge of scanning costs charging structure.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Display an adaptable and flexible approach
  • Possess a critical eye for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Possess a good understanding of customer service

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000
