Payroll Manager

Our client, a global omni-channel communications solutions business is looking for a Payroll Manager.

As the Payroll Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the UK and International payroll, as well as management responsibility for two team members.

UK Payroll responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the payroll team for circa 4,500 employees across multiple sites & contracts.
  • Ensure all payroll changes are fully authorised, implemented and actioned working closely with HR Shared Services on changes.
  • Offering guidance and mentorship to the team whilst utilising proven knowledge of Payroll legislation UK & HMRC policies.
  • Management of salary sacrifice schemes ie Pensions, Cycle to Work, Electric Cars
  • Monthly pension administration including contribution payments /upload.
  • Point of escalation for complex pension queries for the team.
  • Supporting internal and external audit.
  • Assist on all Payroll-related projects, including but not limited to acquisitions, new business, TUPE, benefit harmonisation and Pension, Pension Re-Enrolment etc.

International Payroll Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with internal/external HR support to ensure that international employee changes are administered in an organised structured format.
  • Work collaboratively with external international payroll agencies/administrators to ensure that international employees are paid on time.
  • Ensure that ALL international payroll/ payments are checked to ensure that changes have been made as directed by the business /HR.
  • Work in conjunction with the in-country finance teams to ensure that reporting requirements in relevant jurisdictions are complied with.

Required skills & experience:

  • Strong knowledge and proven experience of UK Payroll and Pension Legislation and a working understanding of International payrolls.
  • CIPP qualified.
  • System experience: Various HR/payroll and accounting packages.

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
