We are looking for an Overheads Accountant to join Paragon.
As the Accountant – Overheads & Balance Sheet Accounting, you will thrive on accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement, as well as being passionate about turning data into insight, structure into stability, and process into progress.

Main responsibilities:
- Take ownership of key accounting processes across overheads and balance sheet accounts, ensuring every journal, reconciliation, and report stands up to scrutiny.
- Record and allocate operating expenses across cost centres.
- Prepare accruals, prepayments, and intercompany recharges for the month-end close.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigating variances and maintaining supporting schedules.
- Partner with AP, AR, and FP&A teams to deliver timely and accurate financial data.
- Support compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Champion process improvements and support ERP data integrity.
What we’re looking for:
- 1–3 years’ accounting experience in a corporate or shared service environment.
- Strong grasp of double-entry principles and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Confidence with Excel and ERP systems (Business Central, Oracle, or similar).
- A drive for accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ideally, you’re progressing towards a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
This is a remote role, but you must be based in the UK as travel to Paragon sites will be required.
