We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join Paragon and drive performance, profitability, and smarter decision-making across their production and supply chain.
As the Finance Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to the operational leadership team, supporting both strategic and day-to-day decision-making. You will focus on improving financial performance through strong business partnering, insightful analysis, and disciplined cost control across manufacturing and supply chain functions.
This is a high-impact role for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with operations, influencing strategy, and turning data into action.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnering & Strategy
- Partner with operational leaders to support strategic and operational decisions
- Translate operational performance into clear, actionable financial insight
- Evaluate and challenge investment proposals, CAPEX, and cost-saving initiatives
Operational & Financial Performance
- Lead planning, budgeting, and forecasting in partnership with FP&A
- Monitor and interpret key KPIs, including production variances, material usage, labour efficiency, and overhead absorption
Cost Management & Continuous Improvement
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives and identify efficiency opportunities
- Support waste reduction and continuous improvement programmes
Reporting & Governance
- Deliver timely, accurate reporting, dashboards, and senior-level insights
- Highlight trends, risks, and opportunities impacting performance
- Act as finance lead on operational projects, investments, and process improvements
- Build financial models and business cases for CAPEX
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements
Required experience and skills:
- You are a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
- 5–10 years’ finance experience, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Have a strong background in cost accounting, operational finance, and performance analysis
- Confident in using ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and advanced Excel
- Experienced partnering with operations and senior stakeholders
- Strong commercial and operational acumen
- Ability to translate financial data into practical business insight
- Analytical, hands-on, and solutions-focused
- Confident challenging and influencing decisions
- Proactive, self-starting mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
This is a hybrid role, with 3 days working from home and 2 days at any Paragon site, with travel to other sites including Ireland.

Salary: £60,000–£65,000 + car allowance and benefits
