We are looking for a Document Specialist to join Paragon’s Accessible Formats Team at their Dagenham Site.

As part of Paragon’s specialist team, you’ll help create accessible communications for blind and visually impaired individuals, ensuring essential information can be accessed by everyone.
Paragon is a leading provider of customer communications, committed to delivering excellence across every format. In this role, you’ll support the production of materials in Large Print, Braille, and Audio, playing a key part in making communications inclusive and accessible.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Working within a small, collaborative team, you’ll be responsible for the formatting, production, and quality assurance of documents across three accessible formats. This hands-on role requires precision, consistency, and care.
Large Print
- Format accessible PDFs into Word documents
- Apply Large Print templates for clarity and readability
- Proof and finalise for mailing
Braille
- Prepare Word documents for translation using Duxbury software
- Emboss and check Braille output before dispatch
Audio
- Format and mark up documents using Linguatec software
- Generate MP3 files and produce audio CDs for distribution
You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas that help improve processes and enhance the accessibility experience for end users.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Excellent IT skills – proficient in Word, Excel, and Adobe

- Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment

Salary: Salary is £27k upon joining rising to £28,600 after training
