Cloud Engineer

We are We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join Paragon’s Infrastructure team to support and improve cloud environments across their UK and international hosting estate.

As the Cloud Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation, support, and optimisation of Paragon’s cloud platforms. You’ll work across public and private cloud environments, helping to ensure systems are secure, resilient, and performing as expected, while supporting ongoing improvement and automation initiatives.

This is a hands-on CloudOps role, ideal for someone with solid experience across public cloud platforms who enjoys operational support, automation, and continuous improvement within a hybrid cloud environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support, maintain, and optimise cloud platforms across Azure, AWS, and OCI
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for cloud-related incidents and service requests
  • Monitor performance, availability, and capacity, identifying risks and improvement opportunities
  • Carry out patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of cloud services
  • Support security, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery activities
  • Assist with automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and configuration records
  • Work closely with infrastructure, security, and service teams
  • Participate in an on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours support

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience supporting cloud platforms in an enterprise environment
  • Hands-on exposure to Azure, AWS, and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
  • Good understanding of cloud security, networking, and identity management
  • Experience working in ITIL or service-led operational environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working across teams

Desirable:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code or automation tools
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, OCI)
  • Exposure to hybrid or multi-region cloud environments

This is a permanent remote role, hours Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm.
