Bulk Fulfilment Manager

We are looking for an experienced Bulk Fulfilment Manager to join our fantastic fulfilment team based at the Sheffield site for our parent company Paragon.

As the Bulk Fulfilment Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of campaign management, from the initial enquiry to commercial reviews and resource/capacity planning.

Working with Client Services and the warehouse team, you will lead and organise the whole workflow from goods being delivered to creating efficient picking processes which limit errors and improve speed. You will be responsible for defining and documenting effective processes to standardise ways of working within the department and be able to manage the team to deliver these processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations, liaising closely with internal departments and ensuring all orders are completed to agreed SLAs
  • Prioritise and delegate workload to ensure a balanced approach to reacting to incoming requests and planning
  • Develop and implement strategies and report monthly on department KPIs, issues and improvements
  • Look at ways to reduce time and costs in all aspects of fulfilment without compromising on service
  • Oversee effective management of all stock movements from Goods in, to Work in Progress, to stock for call off
  • Have a clear understanding of the WMS system and how it operates, identifying any required changes to support process efficiency
  • Motivate and inspire the team by promoting positive communication through team, hold one-to-one meetings and annual appraisals and set realistic objectives
  • Performance management and development of your direct reports
  • Oversee the training and development of the fulfilment team
  • Manage and monitor absence records ensuring return to work documentation is completed and holiday approval in line with company policy
  • Ensure effective workforce planning is completed in line with HR such as interviewing/onboarding support for new employees, manage the contingent workforce
  • To be aware of and always observe safe-working practices, ensuring others within the designated areas do likewise and to report any breaches immediately and record any accidents as per company guidelines

Required skills:

  • Scheduling or Fulfilment experience desired
  • Excellent Excel skills required to analyse allocations, spreadsheets, and produce work instructions and carrier labels
  • Strong management and organisational skills with an SLA focus
  • An ambitious approach with a can-do, flexible attitude towards work and responsibilities to enable agile and lean processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
Salary may be negotiable depending on experience

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000
