Welcome to our first Meet the Team blog post for the year. This series is a great opportunity for you to get to know our consultants and find out a bit more about what they do at Devonshire.
This time, we sat down with Fee Kennardsmith, who recently joined the Devonshire team near the end of 2021 as a Senior Recruiter.
Tell us a bit about yourself, what do you do at Devonshire?
I have over 15 years in recruitment, mainly in executive search. I joined Devonshire in November 2021 and I am working across all areas such as strategy, research consultancy, technology, digital and more.
Explain a bit more about your sector specialism and the types of roles you can recruit for…
In my previous recruitment years, I worked in the business transformation, operational change, business & IT strategy and digital disciplines across all sectors and recruited for junior to C-Level roles. I am excited to focus on this again going forward at Devonshire.
In your opinion, what makes a candidate stand out from the crowd?
A great candidate is someone that has spent time on their CV, making sure it is clear and detailed (but not rambling). The content should be focused on where they want their career to go next, specifically updating it based on the role they wish to interview for and in terms of layout, bullets points are great to use to help the reader clearly go through each detail.
What advice would you give to people wanting to get into your sector or progress in the career ladder?
I would suggest that they keep up to date within their specialist area and know what is trending and any new technologies or methods. They should also update their LinkedIn profile to show all the areas of experience and ones they are keen to explore.
How have your first few months been at Devonshire?
It has been great so far; the people are fantastic and friendly. The work is diverse and interesting.

What do you get up to outside of work?
I live in North Devon and a self-confessed beach bum who likes to be by the sea and surfing when I am not working.
