Sales Development Director

The company:

The client is engaged in the research of biologic drugs, drug development, production and sale of APIs, and production and sale of pharmaceutical products. As one of the largest approved pharmaceutical manufacturers of APIs globally and with licenses approved, they are now looking for a strong sales and marketing professional with experience in generic products to launch the business and products into the UK market and Europe.

The role:

  • You will be a highly driven Sales and Marketing Lead, with outstanding communication skills and a track record of developing and winning new business.
  • The business is in an exciting growth stage, so this would suit an ambitious, commercially minded individual who can drive business development efforts, and take responsibility for overall revenue generation and partnerships: NHS, wholesale, commercial, and distributor networks.
  • Having successfully launched in other countries they are now looking to increase their market share and launch in the UK and then into Europe.

Required skills and experience:

  • Proven International Development Expertise: a proven track record of success in business development/sales of generic products to launch the business and products into the UK market and familiarity with dealing with diverse clients and organisations will be invaluable.
  • Strong Professional Network: a well-established network of contacts within pharma and healthcare, facilitating swift business expansion and partnership development.
  • Deal Complexity: a deep understanding of complex deal structures, will be a key attribute.
  • Contract Negotiation: comfortable and confident managing intricate negotiations and contracts, tenders, and frameworks.
  • Self-Sufficiency and Motivation: be a self-motivated professional capable of independently managing a business pipeline and taking contracts from initiation to successful completion.
  • Commercial Drive: a thirst to grow and develop not only for the business but, personally, with a desire to build and lead a sales team and business.
