As a Data Integration Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless data flow and integration across various systems and platforms within the organisation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design data integration solutions, and facilitate the efficient movement of data to enable informed decision-making and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data integration needs and challenges.
  • Elicit and document detailed data requirements, integration scenarios, and business rules.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications for data integration processes.

Data Mapping and Transformation:

  • Collaborate with data engineers and developers to design data mappings and transformations.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency by defining data validation and cleansing rules.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and streamline data across different systems.

Integration Solution Design:

  • Design data integration solutions that align with business goals and technological capabilities.
  • Choose appropriate integration methods, tools, and technologies for optimal data movement.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure integration solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
  • Participate in the design of ETL processes to move and transform data between systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role focused on data integration.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, data transformation, and integration methodologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data integration tools and data modelling concepts.
  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy regulations, and data quality best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with cloud-based data integration (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.
